FAQ

Do I need someone to handle my horse or pet during the session?

Yes, having a handler is highly recommended, especially if more than one animal is involved. Handling and safety are not part of my role as a photographer, so having someone you trust to assist allows the session to run smoothly and safely.

How does image usage and privacy work?

By default, we may share selected images from your session on my website, social media platforms, or portfolio for marketing and promotional purposes. If you prefer that your images not be shared publicly in any form, you can request full privacy at the time of booking. In this case, a 20% privacy fee applies to cover the loss of portfolio and marketing usage.

Where do equine and pet sessions take place?

Sessions can take place at your yard, farm, home, or a suitable outdoor location. If you are unsure, we are happy to help suggest locations that suit both you and your animal.

Do you travel for your sessions?

Yes, I do! Travel fees may apply depending on the location; this will be discussed during booking.

What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?

If the weather doesn't cooperate on the day of an outdoor shoot, we can discuss alternatives, such as rescheduling or finding an indoor location. We want to ensure the best possible outcome for your photos, and we're flexible in adapting to unforeseen circumstances.

How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?

You can expect two to three sneak peeks within a few days after your photo session. Your full edited gallery will be delivered within two weeks of the shoot. If you’ve added a highlight video, please allow an additional one week for video delivery.

What should I bring to the session?

Please bring halters, leads, grooming essentials, treats, and anything meaningful to you and your animal. Familiar items help keep animals calm and comfortable.

What if my horse or dog is nervous or energetic?

That’s completely okay. We work with your animal’s natural movement and personality rather than forcing poses, allowing them to settle into the session at their own pace.
